Terms of use

The plain-English version.

These terms apply to your use of pcp.claims. By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the site.

What this site is

pcp.claims is an independent information site about the UK FCA’s motor finance redress scheme. We explain how the scheme works, who may be eligible, and how to claim — for free or via a regulated firm. We are not a claims management company, a lender, a regulated firm, or a substitute for legal, financial, or tax advice.

Nothing on this site creates a client relationship between you and us. Always consider seeking advice from a regulated firm before making decisions about money or contracts.

Accuracy

We try to keep content accurate and up to date, drawing on the FCA’s published policy statements (including PS26/3) and other public sources. The redress scheme is evolving and the details may change. We can’t guarantee everything on the site is current at the moment you read it — check the FCA’s own pages for the latest position before acting.

We sometimes link to external sites (for example, the FCA, the Financial Ombudsman Service, or MoneySavingExpert) where that’s useful. We don’t control those sites and we’re not responsible for their content. Inclusion of a link isn’t an endorsement.

Adverts

We may display adverts served by Google AdSense. Adverts are not endorsements. We don’t pick the advertisers and have no commercial relationship with them. AdSense uses cookies to serve and measure ads; you’ll see a consent prompt the first time you visit so you can choose whether to allow them.

Intellectual property

Content on the site (text, layout, design) belongs to pcp.claims unless credited otherwise. Photographs are licensed from Unsplash. You’re welcome to link to pages and quote short excerpts with credit; please don’t copy whole pages.

Liability

We provide the site “as is” and don’t accept liability for losses that arise from acting (or not acting) on its content, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can’t lawfully be excluded — for example, for fraud or for personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the bottom of the page tells you when. The current version applies whenever you use the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally goes before the courts of England and Wales.
